LEARNING FROM MISTAKES

LEARNING FROM MISTAKES

LEARNING FROM MISTAKES

SOUL-LIFT DAILY DEVOTIONAL WITH DR D.M. TIKILI

DATE: SEPTEMBER 29 2021.

TOPIC: LEARNING FROM MISTAKES.

DEVOTIONAL READING:
1 Samuel 26:1-14.

KEY VERSE: And David cried to the people, and to Abner the son of Ner, sayimg, Answerest thou not, Abner? Then Abner answered and said, Who art thou that criest to the king?
(1 Samuel 26:14).

BIBLE CHARACTER IN VIEW: ABNER

ABNER was the first and only commander of the army of his cousin, King Saul. He made Saul’s kingship political reality. This means that he was good at what he did. He also played a strategic role when King David ascended the throne. Some years later, Abner owned up to his mistake even though he surmounted the series of challenges that faced him. Some other leaders would have found themselves demoted or jailed.

Whenever you make a mistake, admit it, apologize for it and move on in life. Better still, learn from the mistake and GOD will see you through. It is not enough just to hear, but to do what you hear. That is what really matters. We are instructed in the Scriptures that it is not the hearers that are blessed but the doers.
( James 1:22)

Today is your day of decision.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
