GUILT, FRUSTRATION AND HOPE.

SOUL-LIFT DAILY DEVOTIONAL WITH DR D.M. TIKILI.

DATE: MONDAY, JUNE 28 2021.

TOPIC: GUILT, FRUSTRATION AND HOPE.

DEVOTIONAL READING:
1 Timothy 2:13-14.

KEY VERSE: And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and hid myself (Genesis 3:10).

BIBLE CHARACTER IN VIEW: ADAM.

One cannot imagine what Adam’s life was like. He was the first created human being. He had no childhood, no parents, no schooling, and no guilt. He had close relationship with GOD and lived in a perfect world, with only one rule to follow. Then he sinned and fell from glory to grass; he felt guilty. How completely different life has become today?

Definitely, we can identify with Adam’s struggles: {1} He was embarrassed to admit mistakes and wanted to avoid confronting his problems, {2} His children got into big trouble, spoiling many of his dreams for their future, {3} He worked harder and got lesser done as life went on, {4} As an older adult, all his labors had little to show except a small farm and scattered grandchildren. However, Adam had hope.

Genesis 3:15 is GOD’s first piece of good news: that Satan will be defeated; a Savior will come. That promise gave Adam hope and still lifts us from the pit to the heavens. So, when life seems barren and pointless, remember that even Adam had this hope.

JESUS has come, salvation is won and the Bible promises a second coming at the end of time, when all of our tears will be wiped away. Whenever you are discouraged, remember and hold on to this hope.
