Topic: Don’t Abuse Your Freedom
Devotional Reading:
Galatians 5:1-15
Key Verse: “ For brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” (Galatians 5:13).
Bible Character: Paul
Paul told the Galatians that Christ had set them free from sin, but he quickly added: Don’t use your freedom as an excuse to plunge back into it!
He reminded them that the greatest command is to love others as you love yourself.
The church and the home is where you are free to relax, relate and be yourself. But don’t let this “freedom” extend to relaxing the restraints you place on name-calling, talking behind each other’s back, second- guessing, or grumbling.
Nothing destroys family unity faster than being “critical and catty”!
Discipline yourself to love the other members of your family.

Take Time To Nurture Your Freedom In Christ.

- O God, give me grace to be faithful in the name of Jesus.
- My father, help me not to abuse my freedom in Jesus Name.
- Blood of Jesus, speak for me at every altar in Jesus Name.
