Devotional Reading:
1 Chronicles 14:1-3
Key Verse: “ And David took more wives at Jerusalem: and David begat more sons and daughters. (1 Chronicles 14:3).
Bible Character: David
As was common at certain times in history, King David took more than one wife and fathered many children.
This was one case of God’s people adopting a practice that “ every body “ did, but which fell short of God’s ideal.
Many practices that are common today are equally harmful.
Whether they fall in gray areas like watching questionable programs on tv and the internet, or are outright sin like cheating on taxes or committing adultery.
God wants our behavior and our character to please him.
The excuse that “everyone’s doing it” carries no weight with him.
Don’t allow the society or your community norms to dictate your actions.
Thought For The Day.
Because Everyone’s Doing It Does Not Make It Right.
